Spaces available in Doylestown area beekeeping course

Beekeeping can be a fun and rewarding hobby, and it does not have to be a complicated practice. Spots are still open in a Doylestown area course that will offer a chance to learn more about the apiary arts.

Students in the Bucks County Beginner Beekeeping Course will find that it gives them a chance to get their hives off to a good start. Both lectured and hands-on components will be included, and it will provide a review of the different beekeeping tasks that will need to be performed throughout the year.

Mark Antunes will be the instructor for the series of eight classes, which will run from late winter to early fall. There will be one each month, and the first may be repeated to accommodate anyone who wasn't able to attend when it was first held. The hands-on portion of the instruction will take place in an apiary, and at 7:00 pm, the learning will switch to a classroom setting. Veils are required for anyone entering the apiary.

The registration fee for the course includes manuals and other materials, and items like these can be produced by a company that supplies Letterheads and other printed products.

The next class in this introduction to beekeeping has been planned for March 26th at 1856 Forest Grove Road in Forest Grove. New students are welcome to register, even if they missed the February session.
