Concert fundraiser delights Doylestown

While Doylestown may be in the “deep freeze,” its residents will be treated to a taste of the warmth of the tropics when they attend a local gala fundraiser.

The Warminster Symphony Orchestra will be the star of the show for its annual "An Island Get Away" Pops Gala and Fundraiser. The audience will be whisked away to warmer locales, and the program for the occasion features a variety of tropical-inspired music.

The event will feature musician Kristen Plumley, and the program includes songs such as Bali Hai and Strangers in Paradise. A cash bar will be set up for the enjoyment of the attendees, and everyone can try their luck bidding on the items and experiences in the silent auction. A basket raffle will add even more excitement. Tickets for the festivities are $110 each, which includes both the concert and dinner.

When organizing a fundraiser, the planners may choose to reach out to local companies seeking financial support or the donation of Corporate Gifts in kind to use as prizes for draws, or to tuck into raffle baskets. This provides an opportunity for a business to give back to its home community.

This evening of music, food, fundraising, and fun is scheduled for Saturday, January 24. It will open at 6:00 pm at The Warrington, 1360 Almshouse Road in Warrington.
