Doylestown challenge coin salutes military members

A Doylestown program is accepting pre-orders for a keepsake that will honor the sacrifice made by its military members and veterans alike.

The Borough is set to celebrate its 158th Memorial Day Parade as well as the nation's 250 birthday with a special commemorative coin. It provides the chance to own a piece of the area's history and those who purchase one will be alerted when theirs becomes available.

The challenge coin will feature a design on each side, and the one selected was prepared by Ethan Falkelstein, who is a student at CB West High School who participated in the scholarship design competition. The head will salute the parade while the reverse will mark the nation’s birthday. They will be prepared and ready for pick up on time for Memorial Day, and the proceeds from the program will be donated to area veterans and other community initiatives. The cost per coin is $20.00.

Commemorative events that call for graphic design and other services can access them at a local Print professional. They can prepare a wide selection of bespoke items, and will have a range of options available at various price points.

Residents of Doylestown who would like to own their own piece of local history can place their orders through the Borough’s website. A QR code has been provided for ease for ordering.
