Doylestown schedules stewardship project

A morning of hands-on environmental stewardship will soon provide Doylestown residents with the chance to give Mother Nature a helping hand, and it has received support from several organizations as well as a small business.

A goal of planting at least 25 trees in Peace Valley Park has been set for the function, and as many hands make light work, the planners are hoping that there will be lots of volunteers signing up.

Bucks County Parks and Recreation, Bucks Beautiful, Bucks County Master Watershed Stewards and Bartlett Tree Experts-Dublin have teamed up to organize the activity, and it will begin at 9:00 am. All instructions will be provided, and while the equipment will be supplied, everyone is asked to bring gloves as well as a spade, if they have one. The attendees will find out how the session will benefit wildlife, and they can use the techniques they will learn for future planting activities as well as when caring for their own home landscape.

Taking part in a stewardship project can be a rewarding experience, and Stationery printers can provide materials that help keep them running smoothly. These can range from registration Forms and waivers to thank you certificates for the volunteers who gave their time.

Doylestown will be undertaking this activity on October 24th. A registration link and more details are included in its Patch listing.
