Doylestown parents-to-be are invited to attend an event that will equip them with knowledge they can use to help make their birth experience a positive one.
The Doylestown Hospital will be hosting a special event that will give those who take part an opportunity to learn about the facility and all it has to offer. It will be facilitated by a maternity nurse from Doylestown Health, who will lead a discussion about the VIA Maternity Center and outline its various policies and practices for expectant parents.
A portion of the session will be dedicated to teaching the future moms different breathing and other relaxation techniques, and well as giving details about various support agencies that exist in the community to help new families. An area printer can prepare Presentation Folders of information that can be given to each soon-to-be-mom or dad who participates in the workshop.
A tour of the medical facilities is also included in the schedule for the evening. This is optional for anyone who wishes to be included.
This information session, which will help relieve some of the stress of pregnancy and childbirth, has been planned for Conference Room J in Doylestown Hospital on August 24, beginning at 7:00 pm. A limited number of spaces are available for this free event, and anyone who is interested is asked to register ahead of time to secure their spot.
