Doylestown to learn about common garden pests

Savvy gardeners know that a little bit of knowledge can go a long way when it comes to dealing with insect pests, and a Doylestown area workshop will arm area home horticulturalists with this information.

The facilitator of the Common Garden Pests and Diseases presentation will supply information that may be helpful for novice and expert gardeners alike. The activity has been organized by Primex Garden Center, and it will be led by an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist.

The activity will introduce the attendees to a number of the insect pests they may commonly encounter in the Doylestown area, and they will learn what sort of damage they might cause. Everyone will go home with a greater understanding of how to control unwanted insects and introduced invasive species. Tickets for the class can be reserved by calling 215-887-7500.

Learning the basics of pest ID can be highly beneficial for gardeners. Handouts for a class that provide additional information and tips as well, as a list of apps that may be useful for identifying insects and plants, can be prepared by a company that crafts Letterheads and other business documents.

Primex Garden Center in Glenside will be offering this workshop for home gardeners on Saturday, February 25. Tickets are $10.00, and they must be booked in advance by contacting the venue.
