Doylestown offers haul of holiday offerings

The businesses of Doylestown have planned a series of events designed to get everyone in the holiday spirit as well as bring shoppers into Doylestown

First, Holiday Magic will be hosted by Discover Doylestown at 6:30 pm this evening. Discover Doylestown’s mission is to promote local businesses, and events here will provide a festive shopping atmosphere with visits from Santa, Rudolph, and Frosty.

Between stores, shoppers can take time to stop and admire the vast display of ornaments on the city’s Christmas tree, as well as see the colorful and huge Dreidel. To stave off the cold, there will be plenty of hot cocoa for shoppers to enjoy while they take a break and listen to the roving bands of carolers.

Finally, a Men’s Holiday Shopping Night will give gentlemen the opportunity to shop at 15 local businesses while enjoying complimentary food, drink, entertainment, and gift wrapping. This men’s only event takes place between 6:00 and 9:00 pm on December 18 at Saving Grace Barbers at 41 E. State Street.

These events may attract first-time shoppers, so local businesses should be prepared by having ordered holiday-inspired business card printing.

In addition to these special events, Santa’s Christmas Cottage, which opened the day after Thanksgiving, will continue to be open until Christmas Eve. Santa requests that parents who want a photograph of him with their child bring their own camera.
