Doylestown museum builds up for Lego event

Doylestown’s Mercer Museum will host Lego Castle Adventure, which includes the opportunity for young visitors to try their hand a Lego castle building.

Visitors to the museum’s exhibit can enjoy exploring a giant castle complete with secret passageways. Additionally, a lookout tower will be available for climbing, and the Lego Castle Adventure will include a menacing Lego dragon. It is highly likely that the museum will be using a postcard printing service to provide museum patrons with a chance to take home a reminder of their visit.

Visitors are encouraged to build their own castle using Lego bricks. They can then use a catapult to test their castle’s defenses. According to information on the museum’s website, the exhibit will be subdivided by age into three build areas. These will follow the Medieval Lego theme with the names ‘apprentice’, ‘journeyman’, and ‘master build’ for toddlers, ages 3-6, and ages 7 and up respectively.

The Lego Castle Adventure exhibit is a product of The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and created in cooperation with Lego Systems, Inc. No advance tickets are required and the exhibit, set to open on Friday, October 3, is included in the Mercer’s regular admission price.

On October 17, the museum will host LEGO Robotics Workshop and Demonstrations at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, and 1:00 pm.
