Many people enjoy the exotic taste of Indian food, and Doylestown gourmands will soon be able to learn how they can make it for themselves right in their own home kitchen. This hands-on workshop will be offered by Conquering Cuisine as part of its series of culinary classes.
The cooking lesson will explore the secrets of Indian cookery, right from choosing which ingredients to use, to the techniques employed to prepare dishes such as shrimp biriyani, chicken tikka masala, and rogan josh. Curry, tandoori and many other sauces and seasonings will be discussed, and the students will discover how they can develop their very own signature Indian spice blend.
The class will be led by instructor David Kiser, and anyone who would like to add to their recipe repertoire is welcome to attend. The registration fee is $65, and this can be paid when signing up to participate. Area printing services providers can lend a hand to an event like this by supplying cookbooks and recipe cards, printed aprons, and even chef’s hats for the students to take home with them.
This exploration of India will be taking place on the evening of November 6, and it will begin starting at 6:30 pm sharp. The venue for the activity will be located at 378 North Main Street. Additional information is available on the Conquering Cuisine website.
