During the fall, many homes sport silly or spooky jack-o-lanterns as Halloween decor, and those who take a seat for a Doylestown activity will learn how to create these pieces of decor.
The Rhoads Garden in North Wales has created a class that will introduce some of the basics of pumpkin painting, which offers an alternative to using a knife and carving. The function will be guided by resident artist and designer Shelley, and tickets are $25 each.
The attendees will learn how to paint a funny face on their gourd, and at the end of the class, they will be able to take it home with them. The materials will be provided, and anyone who would like to add hair or a bow to their pumpkin can do so if they wish. They may follow the step-by-step instructions or paint a design of their own during the one-hour function.
A seasonal crafting class teaches the public some new skills while they have fun. A flyer printing company may prove to be a helpful partner in getting the word out to the local community, and giving participants material to take home for future reference.
This introduction to painting pumpkins will begin at 1:00 pm on October 16 at 570 Dekalb Pike. Seats may be reserved by visiting its online listing at Eventbrite.
