Doylestown area season to feature cookie construction

Assembling and decorating a gingerbread house can be a holiday tradition for parents to enjoy with their kids, but since not everyone has the time to build their cookie home from the ground up, a Doylestown area company is offering a solution.

Sweet Occasions, which is in Lahaska, will be giving families a chance to come together to custom decorate their own gingerbread home, no matter how busy their schedule may be. All the supplies will be provided, and the houses will be assembled and ready to personalize.

Admission to the decorating party is $30 each, and additional houses can also be purchased if desired. Each ticket holder will receive their house as well as royal icing and candy. Hot chocolate will be served, as will gingerbread men, and the doors (of the venue, not the gingerbread house!) will be open for the registrants to stop by between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm. The project will take about 45 minutes to complete.

Two different dates have been chosen for these cookie house decorating sessions, and those who are interested can pick the one that best suits their schedule. Instruction sheets and other materials that can help the participants make the most from an activity like this can be produced by an area printing services company.

Sweet Occasions, located at 74 Peddlers Village, will be hosting these sweet construction workshops on December 14 and 20.
