District launches internet quest for new superintendent

An online survey for input on the new Central Bucks School District superintendent has been launched.

According to an announcement from the school district:

“[The school board is] interested in hearing from the Central Bucks Community regarding the strengths, challenges, goals, and personal attributes that will be the best fit."

Responses are anonymous and confidential, and only one response per person is allowed. Paper Copies of survey also will be available at all Central Bucks Schools. Parents and other concerned citizens may ask for a copy at the front office.

The current acting superintendent, David P. Weitzel, Ed.D., has served in this position since July 2013. Prior to that, he served as the assistant superintendent for elementary education starting in 2006. He also has been a public school principal, a special education teacher, and an administrator at LaSalle University.

Central Bucks School District is the third-largest school district in Pennsylvania. Chalfont Borough, Doylestown Borough, New Britain Borough, Plumstead Township, and Warrington Township are among its constituents. There are a total of 15 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, and 3 high schools in the district.

Professional printing services and colorful Flyers may be necessary to promote the role and seek suggestions from the public. The survey, which is powered by Survey Monkey, closes at 11:45 pm on February 9.
