In recognition of Women’s History Month and its 8th anniversary, Portland Cider Co. has decided to issue two new ciders.
That these creations are being released in March, which is Women’s History Month, is apropos as they were developed by the five female team members at Portland Cider. Banner printing services can be highly effective for informing consumers in the vicinity of such new creations.
For the first, named “Bloody Hell,” a touch of habanero pepper joins blood orange cider to provide a sweet heat finish. This limited release has a 5.6% ABV and is only available in 19.2oz. cans and on draft. The name was chosen as a homage to Lynda Parrish, who is a Somerset, England native, and a co-owner of Portland Cider Co.
A blend of cider apples and Northwest apples aged in neutral oak barrels for over two years is the start of the other cider, named “8th Anniversary Cider.” The mixture is then combined with peach and raspberry fruits to create a medium sweet drink with some extra carbonation. Weighing in at 5.1% ABV, this extremely limited edition cider is exclusively available on draft at the company’s two taprooms.
Portland Cider Club, the company’s subscription service, delivers a dozen curated cider products in 19.2-oz. proper pint cans each month to subscribers. The first shipment of 2021 will be sent in mid-March and will contain both new brews along with seven other ciders created by the company.
