Portland chicken eatery back in business after fire

Soon, once again, Big’s Chicken will satisfy Portland residents’ craving for smoked chicken, the first time since fire destroyed the original in 2017.

Tracing its roots back to the pop-up restaurant Five Napkin Chicken in the parking lot of Laurelhurst Market, Big’s Chicken performed well in Portland prior to the fire. When the Your Neighborhood Restaurant Group could find a suitable location the company opened a larger restaurant in Beaverton. The Beaverton location, in the Peddler’s Pack collector’s shop will remain open even after the new Portland location opens.

The transformation of a former bar called The Hutch on Northeast Glisan Street has begun. Situated only 10 blocks from the first Big’s Chicken, it is hoped that the new location will be ready to open by this summer.

Selecting Stationery printers to fill all of a company’s printing needs, including Menus, is one of the small yet important tasks a new business or location has to accomplish before opening.

The Portland Big’s Chicken and the Beaverton location will share the same menu, which will feature smoked chicken covered in the restaurant’s Alabama-style white sauce, dirty rice, JoJos, and veggies. Additionally, an item that was added to the Beaverton’s Menus, the Big’s Chicken cheeseburger, will be included.

The roadhouse décor should be familiar to patrons of the original, plus the new spot will have seating for around 60 people and will offer cocktails and craft beer.
