New season of Top Chef to feature Portland

It was recently announced that for the first time ever, Portland will host the Bravo Television show Top Chef.

According to Bravo’s current production, Executive Vice President Shari Levine, the Rose City has been on the Top Chef team’s radar for several years due to its increasing desirability as a culinary destination. The city is known for the innovative dining experiences it offers, which are the result of independent restaurants, local farm provided produce, and purveyors.

Expanding on why Bravo would be bringing the show to Portland, Levine said:
“The city’s unique culture alongside Oregon’s natural pantry of indigenous ingredients and incredible scenic beauty makes it the ultimate chef’s playground and an ideal destination for ‘Top Chef’ to explore.”

In addition to highlighting Portland and all it has to offer, the show will also show off the Columbia River Gorge, Hood River Fruit Loop, Tillamook Bay, and the Mount Hood territory, as well as the Willamette Valley and Tualatin Valley wine country.

Businesses and municipalities are always grateful for such free publicity, and often up their usage of Promotional Products to increase name recognition when they receive it.

According to Bravo, production is underway for next season, with CDC COVID-19 guidelines being implemented for safety. Host Padma Lakshmi, judge Gail Simmons and head judge Tom Colicchio will be returning for the 2021 season, which will be the show’s 18th.
