Medford’s older drivers who would like to make sure they are up to date when it comes to road safety are welcome to be part of a refresher course organized by AARP.
The event, which will be held over two days, will be classroom-based, and give seniors an opportunity to brush up on the most current rules of the road. It will focus on defensive driving, and those who complete the training may be eligible to receive a discount on their auto insurance pricing.
Everyone who is at least 50 years of age and up is welcome to sign up for the pair of workshops, and the cost to register to participate starts at $15. The techniques that will be taught will have been proven to be effective tools for keeping drivers and passengers safe, and the learners will be able to put them to use right away.

This AARP Smart Driver Course will be offered to Medford’s older adults on October 31. It is scheduled to take place at 1699 Homes Road in Ashland.
