Interacting with animals can offer many benefits to children living with physical, cognitive or developmental challenges, and Medford families are welcome to participate in an event that will offer just such an opportunity.
Crawling Critters Zoo will be making a stop at the South Gazebo in Central Point’s Don Jones Park, and it will be bringing along some special guests for the kids to meet. The session will run for 30 minutes, and a trained staff member will be on hand to help facilitate the experience.
During this activity, the participants will be introduced to a friendly rabbit, tortoise, and even a parrot, and these critters will be used to interacting with children. The handler will share some interesting facts about each of the animals, allowing little ones to discover more about the creatures they share their world with.
The fee to register for this live animal encounter is $12, and to help make the activity even more exciting, it will have a jungle theme. Loot Bags filled with promotional Pens, stickers, wristbands, and other small items can be given to each child to take home at the end of this sort of activity.
