Medford and Rogue Valley is an area of fertile, highly productive soils. A local event will celebrate the produce grown in the area, and area foodies are welcome to add their name to the list of attendees.
Pear A Fare will be on offer on two dates in April, and it will showcase the culinary talent found in the Valley. Artisan food makers, brewers, winemakers, and distillers will all be taking pride of place in the celebration.
The activity, which will take place under a canopy, will see the public enjoy samples as well as a chance to stock their own fridges, wine racks, and cupboards. Admission is $5 each, and kids five and under are welcome to join the fun free of charge. Those who would like to sample the wines will be invited to purchase a tasting glass decorated with a special graphic design, and these will be paired with 10 tasting tickets. The function will be set up at the corner of Central and 5th and is being hosted thanks to support provided by Crater Lake Ford, and Harry and David.
Pear A Fare will be open on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13. It will be part of the larger Pear Blossom Parade and Festival, and more information is available on its website.
