Medford meeting to discuss bird rescues

Parrots and other exotic birds are sometimes purchased only to be surrendered to a rehoming organization. This will be the topic of discussion for a Medford event.

The Northwest Bird Club gives bird nerds an opportunity to meet, share tips and discuss topics that may be of interest to its membership, and in March, the focus will be on parrot rescues. A representative of Exotic Bird Rescue (EBR) will be the guest speaker, and anyone interested is welcome.

The presentation will review both adoption and fostering opportunities and how the process works, and the attendees will also learn about the supports EBR provides to its new bird parents to help them find success. Common reasons for birds being surrendered will be reviewed, and information about volunteering and questions from the audience will wrap up the conversation. Attendees will also be able to meet others who are interested in exotic birds.

Special interest groups give people a chance to meet others, learn, and discuss topics of mutual interest. A brochure printing company will be able to prepare an assortment of educational materials, as well as branded Promotional Products for an organization.

The Northwest Bird Club will be welcoming this special presenter on Sunday, March 3. It will begin at 2:00 pm at 1850 Spring Street in Medford.
