Independence Day is celebrated all across the country, and Medford residents are invited to be part of a local party that will mark the occasion in style.
The organizers of the Ashland 4th of July Parade and Festivities have put together a schedule jam packed with activities that will bring the community together. The day will open with a fun run, which is a project of Ashland Parks and Recreation, and after this the excitement will keep on going throughout the day.
Along with the run, the public will be invited to join the crowd of spectators for a parade, and a crafters’ and makers’ market will be set up in Lithia Park. It will include more than 100 booths to explore, and everyone will be able to look up and offer a salute to the military jet flyover. The park's bandshell will be used as a stage by local performers, and admission to the celebration is free.
After what has been a tough winter for many, a summer celebration like this may be especially welcome. Print shops will be able to offer products and services that make it even more special.
