Medford families invited to fun on the farm

A trip to Hanley Farm offers a way for Medford families to spend a Sunday afternoon, and throughout the summer months, the site will be welcoming guests for tours, picnics and other activities.

The farm will be opening its gates for area families to stop by an explore the buildings, farm and grounds. Each week, there will be a special guest entertainer or other attraction, and these will be all-ages events.

During these Sunday afternoons, visitors to the site will be able to take part in a docent led tour of Hanley House, and the farm buildings will be open for self-guided tours. The organizers noted that to help make sure that the guests get the most from their visit as they can, pamphlets from a brochure printing company will be supplied. These can be an easy way to provide information about the house, farm, and the rest of the property as well as its original owners and history.

Those who plan on including one of the Summer Sundays at Hanley Farm in their agenda for the season are reminded to bring along some of their favorite picnic fare as well as a blanket or chair so they can relax while they enjoy their al fresco meal. The afternoons will run from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm, and admission to the grounds is free. Tours of the house are $5 each.

Hanley Farm will be hosting its Summer Sunday program from the middle of June until September 2. It can be found at 1053 Hanley Road in Central Point.
