Pennywise locals may want to make sure there is room in their calendar for an event that will turn one man’s junk into another man’s treasure.
A huge citywide garage sale has been planned for Central Point, allowing local people to earn some extra money form items they no longer need, while at the same time reducing the amount of material that ends up in area landfills. Its sponsored by the city’s Parks and Recreation department, and in previous years, there has been more than 150 households that took part.
To help make sure the event is a success, the planners are collecting addresses that will be taking advantage of the opportunity, and these will be released to the public on the Tuesday before it takes place. Residents can choose to set up their own sale or spend the day browsing through the ones that will be held throughout the city.
