Medford area plans environmental stewardship project

Stewardship offers a way for anyone who is concerned about the environment to get involved, and one of these activities will show some love to a Medford area preserve.

Eagle point’s Rogue River Reserve will be the recipient of some TLC during an event planned by Southern Oregon Land Conservancy. The property covers an area of 352 acres, and is home to a diverse range of species of flora and fauna.

The individuals who register for the function will be taking aim at invasive plants, removing Scotch broom and yellow star thistle, which will provide growing space for native species of grasses, wildflowers and trees. The tools for the job will be supplied, as well as gloves, although the registrants have been asked to bring their own pair if they have them. The organizers will offer drinks and snacks, and they will also ensure Covid prevention measures will be adhered to.

Those who offer to get involved in this sort of grassroots level stewardship activity may appreciate receiving a small token to thank them for their help. A printer can help the planners to choose Promotional Products that make a good fit for their function.

This chance to show some love to Mother Nature will be giving Rogue River Preserve a good spring clean on June 5th. The meet-up point will be provided to the attendees after they have signed up to take apart.
