Medford residents can welcome fall with trip to a local farm.
The Pheasant Fields Farm is hosting a Harvest Festival. During the month of October, visitors can pick up one of 30 different kinds of pumpkins from the patch, or take a narrated hay ride around the farm grounds.
Kids can get their faces painted, climb the hay hill, or hang out with some furry creatures in the animal exhibit. Guests can also go through the corn maze, which is close to ¾ of a mile long, or test their skills in the pear shooting gallery.
The farm also has a Country Store with crafts, organic produce, specialty food, apple cider, and more. Throughout the course of the festival, there will be live music and special events.
Admission is free, although some of the activities carry an additional charge. Tickets will need to be purchased to enjoy paid activities. Stationery printers were likely in charge of making tickets.
Beginning on October 4, the Harvest Festival will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. During the week, there will be field trip spots available from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. For $4.50 per person, guests will get to enjoy the farm, go on a hayride, and take home a small pumpkin.
