The exhibit features pieces that are created using methods such as paper dyeing, paper manipulation, surface design, and collage mixed media.
Instructors who will be featured in the exhibit include Liz Walker, a graphic design and mixed-media/collage artist who has had her work shown at the Rogue Gallery in Medford, Oregon. Sandi Reinke, a collage and mixed media artist who teaches classes in Salem, Oregon, will also be featured.
The Newport Visual Arts Center director, Tom Webb, spoke to Oregon Coast Today about the event, saying:
“These paper and book artists represent some of the finest in the country. To have them together in one exhibit is a rare collection of talent. The ‘Instructors’ Show’ highlights the quality of the festival and draws the interest of new festival attendees.”
The instructors’ show exhibit will be available for viewing at the Newport Visual Arts Center at 777 NW Beach Drive in Newport, Oregon from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm every Tuesday through Saturday until April 22.
