The 14th Ashland Independent Film Festival will be held for five days this April, presented by the Southern Oregon Film Society.
More than 80 feature, documentary, and short subject films will be showcased during the festival. Five local venues will be showing the films including the Varsity Theatre and the Ashland Springs Hotel.
One of the featured documentaries being show this year is ‘Back on Board: Greg Louganis’. In addition to the showings, there will also be an opening night party and an awards celebration in which 12 awards will be handed out.
Organizers are still seeking volunteers to help in the running of the festival. Those who work at least 12 hours get film vouchers, a T-shirt, and a party invitation.
There are several ticket packages available. Individual tickets for regular showings are $13, $12 for seniors, and $6 for students. Special showing tickets are $15, $14 and $8.
The festival will likely attract hundreds of film buffs from all over the state, including nearby Medford. Tickets and advertising Posters will probably be provided by local Stationery printers.
