The Fight Against Alzheimer's Circus Gala is taking place this August in Medford. It is a fundraising event for the Alzheimer's Association, Oregon chapter.
The keynote speaker for the event will be David Troxel, who is co-author of the book ‘A Dignified Life: the Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer's Care’. He is also a consultant for the Association's Expressions Memory Care program.
Guests will be able to enjoy a fun evening with a ringmaster and circus performances by the Arbor Place Troupe. No doubt the guest speaker will be available for questions from those who would like more information.
Alzheimer's disease affects over five million people in the United States alone, and there are estimated to be over 15.5 million caregivers in the country. The Alzheimer's Association raises funds to help with research and support for those taking care of loved ones with the condition, including a 24-hour help line.
