The 12th annual Oregon Cheese Festival is being held next month in nearby Central Point.
A presentation of the Oregon Cheese Guild, this has been named as one of the 10 best cheese festivals by Culture Magazine.
More than 100 vendors will be selling a variety of local cow, goat, and sheep cheeses in a type of farmers' market, while some will also be selling handmade arts and crafts. Guests can participate in tasting classes for the different cheeses, wine, beer, and cider. Gordon Edgar, the author of ‘Cheesemonger: Life on the Wedge’ will be on hand to meet with visitors.
The evening before the festival the Cheesemaker's Dinner will take place at the Inn at the Commons. Guests will enjoy local cheese, wine, and beer, with Edgar will as the master of ceremonies. Tickets are $125 each and proceeds will benefit the Oregon Cheese Guild.
This event is expected to attract at least 4,000 visitors from all over, including Medford. To spread the word, local Stationery printers may be asked to provide Flyers.
The Oregon Cheese Festival will take place at the Rogue Creamery on March 19 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. The wine flight, which includes 10 sample tickets and a commemorative wine glass, costs an extra $10.
