An Adoptable Cat Cafe and Activities event is coming to the Medford Library for those interested in learning more about domestic felines and what it takes to take care of them.
The event — in partnership with Friends of the Animals — is intended for people who like cats, and kittens and those who may be interested in adopting them.
Friends of the Animals is a non-profit organization involved in animal-related services, including providing resources and education to the community and adoption opportunities and medical care for animals. Established in 1991, the organization began as a way to provide volunteers for the Jackson County Animal Shelter.
The Cat Cafe event is for everyone five years of age and up. It will feature cats and kittens that people can meet in person. Snacks and activities, such as drawing and coloring, will also be available. There will also be information on how to be a responsible cat owner.
The cats and kittens from Friends of the Animals will be available for adoption. People who want to adopt can pet and get to know the animals beforehand.
Animal events like these may choose to use flyer printing for cost-effective promotion or brochure printing for informational pamphlets for attendees.
The Adoptable Cat Cafe and Activities event is happening on Feb. 1 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Medford Library on 205 S Central Ave.
