The 3rd annual Southern Oregon Smoke Salmon Festival is taking place next month in Medford. It is a fundraiser for the Maslow Project, which provides services for homeless youth.
The festival will decide who makes the best smoked salmon in the area, and anyone can enter the competition. Registration costs $30 and the competitor must supply salmon samples for at least 750 people. Cash prizes will be awarded: $1,000 for first, $500 for second, and $250 for third. The public votes on each through tickets, and the competitor with the most tickets at the end of the day wins.
Vendors will also be on hand to sell local wine, beer, and other food. Vendor booths can be rented for $50. There will also be musical entertainment.
Admission includes a salmon sampling passport, free food samples, and three voting tickets.
Sponsorships are available for purchase from $300 up to $5,000. Sponsors will have their company Logo Design printed on the advertising Posters. It is likely that a Medford poster printing firm will be asked to provide the advertisement products.
The Southern Oregon Smoked Salmon Festival will be held at Pear Blossom Park on October 1 from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for those aged between 17 and 20. Call 541-608-6868 to learn more about the event or becoming a vendor.
