The Taste of Summer event is taking place next month in nearby Jacksonville. It is the kick-off to the Britt Music and Arts Festival concert season.
The day is set to feature a wine walk that will showcase the products of over 20 local wineries. These will be served in various downtown shops. Attendance for the walk is restricted to 400; tickets cost $30 each and come with a souvenir wine glass and the wine walk guide.
Prior to the walk, guests can take a free wine and bacon pairing class at the Art Presence Art Center at 11:00 AM. Musical entertainment will be provided by SIP. Attendance is free of charge.
There will also be two stages set up as well as strolling musicians. Some of those performing are the Dancing Fools, Grant Ruiz, and Robbie Da Costa.
A beer garden will be set up on South 3rd Street and will feature food vendors and sno-cones from the Jacksonville Kiwanis Club. Artisan’s Alley will be located on North 3rd Street and items for sale will include handmade instruments, photographs, and glass art. In addition, several car clubs will be displaying their vehicles along the way.
This will likely attract people from nearby communities, such as Medford. Local printing companies may be asked to provide Flyers to help spread the word.
