The 6th annual Customs for Kids Car Show is taking place next month in Talent, presented by the Altered Vision Car Club.
Funds raised will go to support the Maslow Project of Medford, which provides services to homeless youth under the age of 21. Last year's show raised $13,477 and the organization has raised a total of over $40,000 since it began.
The show is expected to surpass last year's number of cars (which was 169), and all years and models will be accepted. The registration fee is $15 for each vehicle and participants will be competing to win prizes and trophies.
For the public, there will be a car stereo competition, raffles, and a 50/50 draw. There will also be a giant bounce house, laser tag, and a coloring contest for the kids. In addition, vendors will be on hand to sell food and car-related merchandise. Those interested in becoming vendors or sponsors should contact Bill Newell at 541-621-2096.
The trophies that will be given to participants from the area, including Medford, may have the winner's name etched on them by local Print companies.
The Customs for Kids Car Show will be held at Brammo in Talent on May 14 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Admission is free. To find out more about the show, call 541-608-6868.
