Mentor Chill Out will be coming to the Mentor Civic Center Park later this month.
This will be a day full of fun for the entire family, as the grounds of the park are transformed into a winter wonderland. There will be 10 ice sculptures on display, in addition to the six that will be created on site throughout the day by expert ice artists from Elegant Ice Creations.
Among the hands-on activities will be a craft tent for kids, an outdoor ice rink, and a Zamboni pull. Weather permitting, there will also be snowshoeing and sledding. Ice carving demonstrations will take place at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 4:00 pm, and 5:00 p.m. There will be a hockey shooter tutor at noon and 3:00 pm, and a dog sled visit from noon to 4:00 pm.
El Patron Birria and Cuisine, and Scott’s Fire and Ice, two of the most popular food trucks in the area, will be offering gourmet fare. This is in addition to the Chili Cook Off, which will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Music throughout the day will be provided by Jesse Web Entertainment. The day will end with fireworks at 5:45 pm.
