Self-defense training course plans session in Mentor

A self-defense clinic is planning a visit to Mentor next month to allow area residents to learn the most effective techniques for defense and self-preservation.

The Family and Friends Self-Defense course is starting in a few weeks, and Mentor residents are invited to join and learn the tips and techniques to protect themselves from attackers. The event is geared toward participants aged 13 and older who want to discover a realistic approach to self-defense. The instructor will teach skills for emergencies and dangerous situations.

The course will feature instruction on techniques and share information about myths surrounding the self-defense industry. Attendees will learn to avoid looking like a victim, build confidence and awareness, and turn everyday objects into weapons for self-defense. Dave Frank, the class’s instructor, will also teach anti-abduction techniques to escape and avoid attackers. Brochure printing is a fantastic way to share information with attendees at events like this.

Guests can expect to leave the class with enhanced awareness and the tools to protect themselves from malicious individuals. The program is insightful and helps participants understand the minds of criminals and attackers to prepare for the next move.

The course will be held on Saturday, March 2, starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 1:00 PM. General admission tickets start at $60 per person, which can be purchased online by individuals or families.
