Mentor will be hosting its city festival in late August.
The two-day event is meant to bring the community together and create a fun environment for all ages. Various activities will occur.
A color dash/walk will take place in the evening on the second day of the festival. Racers can register before the event for $20, or on the day of for $25. A T-shirt with a special graphic design printed on it is only guaranteed to those who pre-register, but may be available on the day of the race.
Check-in is from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm on the pavilion of the pool. Runners can pick up their packet on the first day of the festival from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. There are multiple age groups, so everyone is encouraged to participate. Awards will be given to the top three in each grouping.
A parade will also take place during the event, allowing for the creative sides of residents to shine through as they pay tribute to the local heroes.
Many vendors will be in attendance, and anyone who wants to have a booth at the festival is encouraged to apply. There will be both food and non-food stalls set up, with the food-related ones in a special area. There are multiple Forms for potential vendors to fill out, which can be found on the city website.
The event takes place at the Civic Center on August 20 and 21. The first day goes from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and the second is from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
