A multiday event is set to take place in Mentor in mid to late August.
Mentor CityFest is an annual party that allows people from the local area to come together for a few days of summer fun. Activities for all ages, music, food, drinks, and games will be available.
A Color Dash & Walk sends participants through a trail with various colored areas. Registration can be done through the city’s website. This will take place on day two, beginning at 6:00 pm.
The Kids Zone has games, bouncy houses, obstacle courses, races, trampolines, a Ninja Warrior setup, and big slides. Adults will have access to beer, party games, cornhole, and axe throwing.
A parade of more than 100 groups will begin at 10:00 am on the second day, starting at Shore Middle School and traveling to the festival’s location.
Food and other vendors will be set up throughout the space. A tent will house some of the businesses that line the city’s main street.
Music will be playing both nights. Some of the acts featured include The Ten Band, Stp 2, and The Spin Doctors.
Entrance to the festival is free. A few of the entertainment pieces will require a wristband, which will need to be purchased at the event.
The celebration is put on by University Hospitals. The activities on August 19 will run from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. On August 20, the events will last from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Flyer printing will often be used to promote festivals like this one. The venue is the Mentor Civic Center Park and parking is available nearby.
