An activity with an autumn theme will be taking place in Mentor in late October.
The Pumpkin Run is a race put on by a trio of sponsors, these being the Mentor Nissan sales location, GCXC, and Second Sole. With both an in person and virtual event, participation is opened to a wider audience. The in-person 5k race will run through a scenic portion of the city, beginning and ending in the same space.
Through October 16, tickets for the race bought in person will be priced at $25, with the cost increasing to $30 afterwards. Online passes will remain at $30. It is encouraged that runners dress up for the event. Suggested attire includes autumn colors/prints or anything pumpkin themed. A bundle of items will be provided to all racers. This will include a shirt and medal, the former having the event’s Logo Design printed on it. Collecting the packets will be done the day prior at Second Sole Mentor from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on the event date from 7:30 am to 8:45 am at Veterans Memorial Park, which is also the location of the race. As an alternative to purchasing on RunSignUp.com, Checks can also be mailed in with a form linked on the site. A map of the route can be viewed as well.
The run will kick off at 9:00 am on October 23.
