A local store from a well-known company will be hosting a creative and educational lesson for Mentor kids in early September.
Build a Kids Microscope is an activity in which Home Depot employees lead a group of kids through the process of building and using their very own microscope. The students will get to use materials from around the store, as well as looking at samples through the lens of their finished pieces.
The Home Depot is a business which focuses on construction/renovation materials and tools. A selection of these items includes flooring, appliances, paint, plumbing, wood, smart devices, drills, saws, screws, and wrenches. There are also decor and garden departments, which have items such as rugs, plants, furniture, seeds, planters/pots, and kitchen tools.
The kids' classes aim to teach youngsters how to make a variety of items out of wood, with the finished product depending on which class they partake in. While supplies last, participating kids will get a complimentary apron printed with the Logo Design of The Home Depot. These are like smaller versions of what the employees wear in the store. The lesson will be going for about an hour, from 9:00am to 10:00am. Entry is free, and the activity is open to those between the ages of four and thirteen. The date for the microscope building activity is September 2nd.
