A unique natural experience is coming to the Mentor area next month, offering area residents an opportunity to get outside and let go of stress and anxiety.
The Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku) Session, organized by Kathy Coleman of Wise Warriors Coaching, will head into the forest soon, providing a guided mental health experience designed to help participants alleviate stress and find peace within themselves. The event will take guests through the Japanese practice of forest bathing or being immersed in nature to harness the experience’s health and wellness benefits.
Attendees will use their senses to enter and enjoy the forest and nature at the host site. Coleman will provide instructions to promote mindfulness and a meditative state to help each visitor connect with nature. The event will proceed with all weather conditions, barring a severe weather incident that may cause an unsafe setting. Poster printing can help organizers promote such events to boost brand image and increase participation.
Interested parties are encouraged to wear clothing suitable for the day’s weather conditions for a comfortable and beneficial forest bathing experience. A water bottle and blanket are also recommended for comfort and refreshment.
The Chapin Forest Pine Lodge Ski Center in Kirtland will host the rejuvenating nature experience on Saturday, March 22nd, from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM. General admission tickets are available online for $30 per person.
