A professional dancing event is being scheduled next month to raise funds for several local charities and organizations, and Mentor residents are invited to attend.
The Dancing Under the Stars fundraiser will begin in a few weeks, pairing local celebrities to dance with professional dancers to determine a champion. The event, which is one of the most popular in Northeastern Ohio, will raise funds for Lifeline and Signature Health to help individuals in need of healthcare in the region.
Local celebrities are paid to dance with professionals and raise funds. Since the original dance event, Dancing Under the Stars has raised over $622,000. The 2024 celebrity cast includes Debbie Kennedy, Quinn Marti, Courtney Armstrong, and Alex Zinni. Attendees and spectators can vote for the best dance couple online, with one vote costing one dollar. All registered guests will have a buffet dinner during the dancing show. Corporate and general tables are available for larger groups, and a portion of the ticket price is deductible on taxes.
