Teachers in Mentor will have a unique opportunity to grow their skills and gain valuable experience next month, as an academic training workshop is set to begin.
The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Engaging Academics Training will open its doors to local teachers who want to upgrade their skills and learn the latest teaching techniques. The session will use techniques and teaching segments from Teach Like a Champion 3.0 with the goal of helping teachers engage in positive interactions with students.
The training will focus on the steps teachers in Mentor can take to support and motivate all of their students in the pursuit of learning and mastering challenging academic topics. Teachers will learn about proven teaching strategies, demonstrations for teachers with years of experience, and a framework of what makes these strategies effective. Brochure printing is an efficient way of providing more information to interested parties and enrollees at trainings and seminars like this.
Techniques instructors will focus on include Culture of Error, Academic Systems, and Questioning. Practice opportunities will be provided throughout the training sessions to gain practical experience. All interested parties must register for the training course by July 15th.
The academic training is scheduled for Monday, August 18th, running from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Lake Catholic High School in Mentor will host the event. Registration is open online for $200.
