Womens art retreat brings creatives to Hamilton

A women’s retreat has been announced for creatives in the Hamilton area who wish to sharpen their painting skills while finding tranquility and rejuvenation.

The Women’s Art Retreat: Autumn Watercolor Painting has opened online registration to interested individuals who want to gain experience painting with watercolors under the guidance of experienced instructors in a relaxing and peaceful setting. Organizers hope to put on a restorative experience centered around creating art, allowing women to take a break from daily stressors.

The three-night retreat will be held in a historic setting, with participants enjoying private accommodations and nourishing meals included in the registration costs. Artist Elizabeth Rohrbaugh will lead the retreat, providing warm instructions and demonstrations to help each artist gain confidence and grow. Print shops can help with making Copies of completed works of art, making it possible for artists to share prints with friends and family after such events.

It will feature a small group setting to enhance the learning experience. Optional morning yoga sessions will also be available, as will evenings of wine or tea and socializing with other guests. Women are asked to come as they are and to enjoy refreshment through art.

The Benninghofen House in Hamilton will host the watercolor women’s retreat, which starts on Thursday, September 17th, at 11:00am, ending on Sunday, September 20th. Enrollment is open online, starting at $950 per student.
