A baking workshop geared toward beginners is being organized in Hamilton for this April, and area residents who attend can learn the secrets of making sourdough bread.
The Sourdough Workshop at Tide Pool Art Center is coming up in Hamilton to share the basics of maintaining a sourdough starter and baking bread from home. Students who enroll will learn all of the steps of the process from an experienced instructor, with the learning session expected to last for two and a half hours.
Interested parties will have the opportunity to learn in a hands-on environment, allowing them to see and feel each step for a more effective learning process. The workshop will provide each student with a sourdough starter to take home at the day’s conclusion. Print shops can help organizers provide high-quality documents sharing ingredients and instructions for baking workshops like this.
Attendees will also leave with an unbaked loaf of sourdough bread, a Harvest Moon goodie bag, a spatula, and starter maintenance instructions. All baking materials will be provided, though participants are asked to bring an apron from home. The learning session will end with the sampling of baked sourdough treats.
The Tide Pool Art Center in Hamilton will host the baking class on Sunday, April 19 at 2:00 PM. Attendance is capped at 16 people, and tickets can be purchased online for $70.
