Sourdough workshop to teach in Hamilton

Hamilton residents and others in the area who wish to elevate their sourdough-baking skills have an excellent opportunity to look forward to, as a workshop will explain the basics.

The Sourdough Workshop at Hilltop Family Farm is drawing closer on the calendar, giving beginners who wish to learn the steps and techniques for sourdough baking an opportunity to grow. The class will cover the process from start to finish, beginning with the maintenance tips for a sourdough starter. The class is expected to take around 2.5 hours.

The workshop will be a hands-on experience, giving participants the opportunity to learn by doing under the tutelage of an experienced baker. Students should feel free to bring an apron from home. Organizers of such events who want to make a positive impression on participants can use printing services to create high-quality, professional printed recipes and instructions.

In addition to the knowledge they’ll gain, students will receive a sourdough starter to take home, a spatula, printed starter maintenance instructions, and an unbaked loaf that will need to be baked in the next few days following the class. The session will end with sampling baked sourdough treats.

Hilltop Family Farm in Hamilton will host the workshop, which is capped at 16 students. It’s scheduled for Friday, March 27th, at 6:00 PM. Tickets cost $70 per student online.
