The Cincinnati-based Cafeo Hospitality Group has plans to open an eatery at 201 Main Street in Hamilton.
Opening in the spring, Billy Yanks will be offering a variety of mac-and-cheese flavor combinations, a build-your-own custom and hand-crafted, specialty burgers. Also on the Menus will be fresh soups, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and desserts.
Billy Yanks, as the new establishment will be called, was a nickname given in the Civil War to Union soldiers. It is also the name given to the sculpture at the top of the Soldiers, Sailors and Pioneers Monument of Butler County. The new restaurant’s agreement to lease the property for 10 years is the latest contribution to the city’s revitalization agenda.
Christy Cafeo, the president of the Cafeo Hospitality Group explained that the group has concentrated on creating destination venues that are recognizable and high-performing within the Greater Cincinnati area since 1995. The Group is known for Press on Monmouth, a Northern Kentucky venue located in Newport; two Price Hill establishments, Somm Wine Bar and Incline Public House; Jefferson Social, which is located at the Banks Riverfront Entertainment District and in Over-The-Rhine, the Bell Event Centre.
Each new and unique enterprise, even those within a group of similar businesses, needs to create its own Logo Design to facilitate branding.
City Manager Joshua Smith called Billy Yanks “a great addition” to Hamilton’s mushrooming Main Street Business District.
