A recurring cycling tour is being organized near Hamilton to help area residents get active and enjoy more time in the outdoors.
The Great Miami River Trail Smart-guided Selfie Tour Series has a set of dates to welcome interested parties who want to dust off their bikes and oil the chain for a fun day in nature. The route will take participants along the Miami River, where they can see the remnants of the canal system that were essential for expansion and growth during the early stages of the United States.
The path will stretch 24 miles over level terrain for a relaxing learning experience. Guests will enjoy a rest spot halfway through the bike ride, with refreshments and food part of the experience. Flyer printing is an effective way to promote such events around the town, increasing participation and helping sponsors build brand awareness.
The tour is self-guided and pet friendly, and participants can set their own pace. Some segments of the trail will require cyclists to share the road with motor vehicles. The trail is also unshaded, so cyclists are encouraged to wear sun protection.
Participants will meet at the Great Miami River Bike Path Trailhead in Fairfield on Saturday, March 1, at 9:00 AM. A bike and smartphone are required to attend. Tickets are $22 per person online.
