The Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce is partnering with a local facility to host “Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors” at the end of this month.
The event will offer Chamber members and attendees a better idea of how to manage dementia symptoms in a loved one. In addition to the basic information on dementia provided, attendees at this event will leave with a better understanding of how to communicate with those who have dementia or Alzheimer's. Medical professionals note that appropriate communication strategies can provide support and care to individuals who are suffering from some sort of cognitive disorder, and this event can help attendees get to grips with them.
The event will take place at Liberty Station Health Campus. This major health facility manages a variety of dementia and Alzheimer's-related health services. Individuals who attend will be able to learn more about the facility’s offerings, pick up Promotional Products, and get a better understanding of the services offered and whether they are the right fit for a loved one.
The event will take place on Wednesday, November 29. It will run from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, with the time meant to explicitly give Chamber members and event attendees the chance to leave work and attend the event afterwards. Tickets are free, but advance registration is requested of attendees. More information can be found on the Chamber’s website or by contacting Liberty Station.
