Hamilton residents looking for opportunities to learn new skills will want to make a note in their diaries, as an adult basketry workshop is coming to town.
The Adult Beginning Basketry Workshop is officially slated to start next month. It will provide interested parties with step-by-step instructions on creating and decorating baskets. The workshop aims to provide a safe, fun, and immersive learning experience for each guest, with instructors teaching the basics from start to finish.
The initial portion of the course will focus on the weaving techniques students can use to make a handled reed basket, which each participant can take home with them. Experienced basket maker will lead the course Carried Ledford. All necessary tools and materials will be provided with the cost of registration. Brochure printing is an immersive and helpful way to convey information at workshops and learning events.
The course is ideal for beginners who want to explore their creative and artistic sides under expert guidance. Interested parties aged 14 and older are welcome to register and participate in the course, and are asked to bring a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
The workshop will be held at the Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park on Saturday, November 9. Guests are welcome to arrive at 12:30 PM. General admission tickets are available online and cost $35 per registered guest.
