A star in the pop music field is on a virtual tour, helping to support arts organizations across the country, and Fairfield is one of the stops.
The “Comfort & Joy at Home Virtual Holiday Tour 2020” is the brainchild of Jim Brickman, who is broadcasting concerts live from his studio. Part of the proceeds of each performance goes to a local arts organization; in Fairfield, the recipient of his generosity is the Fairfield Community Arts Center.
In his virtual tour, Brickman will be playing some of his own compositions, as well as traditional holiday melodies and carols. The material is suitable for everyone.
Brickman has a number of nominations and awards to his credit. The SESAC has named him “Songwriter of the Year” twice, and he also has won a Dove Award, as well as receiving two Grammy nominations, and the Canadian Country Music Award.
Brickman started taking piano lessons when he was five, but developed his own approach instead of following a traditional curriculum, after teachers felt he didn't have the gift for playing the piano. He proved them wrong, as 21 of his albums made it to the top of the Billboard charts, and 32 of his singles also hit the Top 20.
His concert will be live streamed on December 17, at 8:00 pm. Those who visit his website to buy tickets will see an example of intriguing Logo Design.
