Fairfield project to show love to local park

A Fairfield park will soon be getting some appreciation, and a call has been put out seeking helping hands for the project.

The trails at Harbin Park attract many users each year, and a group of volunteers will be helping to keep them in top shape. All help will be appreciated, and the activity has been organized jointly by Fairfield Parks and Recreation and the Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance.

Those who sign up will be removing debris from the trails, and they will also be clearing downed trees and trimming back overgrowth. This will make the paths ready for the bikers, hikers, and others who make use of the park.

The session is part of a series of four hands-on stewardship events, and training and equipment will be provided. The runtime for the activity is four hours.

Many people care about the environment and would like to lend a hand but are not sure where to start, so taking part in a stewardship session provides an opportunity to get their feet wet. A flyer printing company can prepare material that can effectively spread the word about an event, and as they can be recycled, they may fit in well with the theme.

Saturday, December 20 will see volunteers show some love to the trails at Harbin Park. The project will start at 10:00 am.
